Question for the doc translators

Hi all,

I am updating the english docs on trunk following feedback on the
mailing lists. I would like to backport most of these changes to the
1.5.x stable branch, but I need to know first if that will that cause
problems for the translators with too many changes.

And if I do backport, is it best for translators if I backport all the
changes at once, or in small steps as I change the docs?
