I just did a test run on my second box (WinXP 32bit).

My own VS2005Sp1 rc11 release client: 6:24.
Collabnet rc9 client: 6:12.

So, VC6 seems slightly faster, but not comparable with your vc6 timings.. still wierd (but I see on the svn dev list that you got closer..).
