I got the Danish one working yesterday as well (after patching with the
fixed .pot), so imports should work now.
I've already filed a bug report
(https://bugs.launchpad.net/rosetta/+bug/239550) about the time stamp in
the mail and the import queue. They are actually the time stamp of the
first submission of a given file, and not the latest. The actual lag
from request to mail arrival seems to be 30-60 minutes in most cases.
The failed imports are supposed to go away when you select "Deleted" in
the drop-down box next to them, but because of an interface bug that is
only possible for admins at the moment (not sure if project admin rights
is enough, or it needs to be a LP administrator). There is a link to an
open bug report about the problem in the answer ticket. They won't hurt
anyone by sitting there though.
I'll try to figure out if you are able to download the exported
languages form a static location (so we can simply trigger the export an
hour or two before the nightly builds, and fetch from the static
location), since that would make life a bit easier compared to fetching
the URL from the mail.
The exported .po's *almost* match our originals, but there are a few
minor things I'd like to ask the LP guys about before trying a mass
import/export (keep an eye on that answer ticket ;)).
