Yes, that did the trick, thanx.

I've found another problem: Toolbar, Status Bar, Line Diff and Locator
Bar settings are not preserved - they are always enabled. The same
goes for Inline diff word-wise and Single/double pane view (I don't
know if these should be remembered, though). Whitespaces setting is
remembered.

This has also been tested with HKCU\Software\TortoiseMerge deleted completely.
