Changelist UI

Hi folks,

There has been some discussion on this list about using changelists
and several requests to make it easier to add unmodified files to a
changelist.

Would it be possible to use the changelist headings in CfM as a drag
and drop target so that files could be dragged from explorer into a
changelist? Or from one changelist to another within cfm or commit?

In cfm you can either show all unmodified files or none. If you are
using changelists then unmodified files within changelists would be of
much more interest than the zillions of other unmodified files, so can
I suggest either always show unmodified files if they are in a
changelist, or make the check box tri-state so that it has
no-unmodified/unmodified-in-changelist/all-unmodified states. I think
the first option would be good enough, and it would be consistent with
the CLI. Cfm is our equivalent of svn status, which now shows all
changelists.

Related to this, changelists that contain only unmodified files are
not shown unless you also show modified files.

Within cfm it seems that (no changelist) is always listed first,
followed by the user changelists. Looks like they are sorted in
case-sensitive alphabetical order. It seems more logical to me to give
user lists highest priority, then (no changelist) and lastly the
ignore-on-commit changelist, if the Windows API allows you to set the
order.

Simon
