Icon overlay. Bug or difficulty understanding the settings?

Hello all,
and thank you for one of the unarguably best SVN client to date.

I am having difficulties turning off the so called "icon overlay" on
drives not being fixed. My settings are:

Status cache: Default.
Drive Types: Fixed drives.
Everything else on the sheet unchecked.

Still I get these nice icons on all drives I insert.
For me, it's not the icons in themselves that bother me, but two other
things:

1) TSVNCache.exe seem to spend a lot of time traversing the directories
for whatever it wants to do
2) Ejecting the removable drives gracefully is not possible. I usually
kill TSVNCache.exe before ejecting removable drives.

I'm currently using TSVN 1.4.8 (12137, 32bit) on XP SP2

Thank you for reading all the way to the bottom.
Regards, Michael Ljunggren
