update's cancel button

Occasionally I have network problems that cause the Update screen to hang.
It would be nice if the cancel button worked in this situation. However,
pressing the cancel button does not cause a network termination. I have to
go to the task manager and kill TortoiseProc.exe instead. I then have to run
cleanup on every folder up the hierarchy before the update will run again.
To conclude, it's a bit frustrating that the cancel button doesn't work on
the times when I really need a cancel.
