filter, select, unfilter in log dialog

Using TSVN 1.4.5, something I repeatedly try to do (only to remember it
doesn't work) is filter the Log listing by typing in the search term,
selecting the log entry I was looking for, then clearing the Search box,
only to find out that my selection doesn't stay on the same item. (The
point is that once I found the rev I was looking for, I want to see it
in the context of its surrounding changes).

Would it be possible to attempt to restore the selection back to the
same revision after the search box has been cleared?
