Sorry, but that's not reasonable. Tabs are useful for e.g., settings
and options. But *not* in this case.

You have to see *all* the tabs to make sure the settings are correct
for the merge. You can't just skip a tab (unless you like to do things
with your eyes closed).
Which means: the people who like to live dangerously will skip tabs
and risk a messed up merge (because they didn't set the params
correctly and couldn't even check them), all others will still click
on every tab to make sure the params are correct.
--> skipping tabs is bad
--> no tabs needed
