I have found this and other similar inconsistencies and plan to fix at
least some
of them.
Another group of problems is caused by interactions between
scrollbar positions, caret position and reloading content.
I have fixed one such issue last night, but there are others.
The problem is, as you noted, that there are cases where it is unclear
which behavoiur is correct.
So, would you please file an issue with the list of obviously incorrect cases.
I will start to fix them, and then we can move to discussion of more
complex cases.
