I think that tortoise cannot delete directories whose name contains "\".
I think that it converts the "\" to "/" and the delete is rejected by
subversion.
The directory was create by mistake:
svn import https://a.b.c/trunk/d/e/f\g\h/i/z.java
The "subdirectory" f/g/h causes problems. Trying to check this out hangs
tortoise (or svn) - eventually timesout without an error. Trying to
delete it in tortoise gets a rejection.
I eventually deleted the "directory" using svn.
