Log message filtering and special characters

TortoiseSVN 1.4.99, Build 10371

What I did:
1) open log messages dialog for URL
http://tortoisesvn.tigris.org/svn/tortoisesvn/trunk
2) Enter '36' (without quotes) in search box.
3) Enter '*36' (without quotes) in search box.
4) Enter 'x*36' (without quotes) in search box.

What happened:
After step 4 the message list coincides with the list after step 1.

What I expected:
After step 4 the message list should be empty, like after step 3.
