The "*" char is illegal for a path (and for an URL btw). You will never
be able to check such a path out, because it's simply not possible to
create such a path on Windows.

How were you able to create such a path in the first place? If you did
that with TSVN, I'd like to know what you did because TSVN should not
allow you to do that.
