Installer hangs windows - hard boot necessary (TortoiseSVN-1.4.4.9706-win32-svn-1.4.4.msi)

Hello,

I'm not sure how to report this, as I have very little information. I run
TortoiseSVN-1.4.4.9706-win32-svn-1.4.4.msi, and I get to the first screen,
and it hangs and hangs hard. Within a few seconds, even windows task
manager refuses to start. I have to hard boot my box.

I was installing 1.4.4 after removing a 1.3 client. I don't remember which
one, I installed it about a year ago maybe?
