Overlays outside of Explorer

Hi,

     This not exactly a typical question. I have a set of Delphi
components for shell access. Up until Vista they worked perfectly
with Tortoise overlays. Now I can't get them to work. I have "Show
overlays only in Explorer" off (necessary pre Vista as well) and
still nothing. I also have a Delphi package for shell extensions so
I am familiar with that end of Explorer as well, though I have not
kept up with the new features of Vista in this regard.

   Unfortunately I am not very proficient in C so that is why I am asking here.

   I created a little tool a while ago using my components to see
what interfaces and info is available from the shell. It may be
possible to use it as the target application to debug this.
