invalid diff stream: insn 1191 cannot be decoded

A couple of our client machines have suddenly started getting this error
out of the blue. Does anyone have a clue what this means and how to
correct it?

We've even gone to the step of deleting all of the content on the local
machine and trying to re-update it to no avail.

Help? Some machines it seems to work fine, but other seem to get
'infected' with this error after a period of time.

We are connecting to subversion directly, no apache etc...

Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

Cheers
