Our policy is to never merge new features back to the stable branch.
After all, it's the *stable* branch and that means only bugfixes go there.
That means if you can't wait for 1.5.0 to be released, you have to use a
nightly build. Just a hint: I've switched the trunk to use the
Subversion trunk now instead of their 1.4.x branch, which means you
should get the nightly build *now* before it gets replaced with a new
one which will use the unstable part of Subversion. The next build
starts in two hours...
