Agreed, and for most applications this is perfect. But when there's less
professionality concerns with potential temporary errors on the live system,
and management (and a lot of the programmers frankly) have trouble
understanding why a typo should take more than 30 seconds to correct, you
end up with the pain of trying to find some way of keeping the code in sync
:(

I just got conceptually confused, since the live site is treated as a
working copy, and thought svn might be able to simplify the process :)
