I agree with you that normally I wouldn't want to see the client hook while
it is running. A productive script should also be as non-instrusive as
possible.

The reason I prefered "hide" as default is so that errors are shown while
the hook is being developed. If messages or errors are shown despite the
script being hidden, I agree to leave the default as it is now.
