The five properties you can add to files. The other properties can only
be applied to folders.

That's because when you select multiple entries, TSVN doesn't check if
there actually are some folders in your selection but assumes that there
are, and then shows you the properties you can add to folders.
Unfortunately, the file properties aren't shown in the list anymore
(already fixed, will be ok in 1.4.1) so you have to enter the property
name manually.

I don't have any use for binary properties myself, but some other people
have: they store e.g. results from complete builds there. Or you could
add a thumbnail image for the file as a binary property (useful if you
need a 1GB application installation to actually view the file).
