This is a very interesing option, but it also requires code changes, because
you have to use a different routine (ngettext instead of gettext) for all
the strings that display counts, like 0 files, 1 file, 2 files.
We are using poEdit for the translations, but I think Stefan is not using
gettext internally to display the strings.
