Feature request - counting revisions

When doing 'show log' and selecting multiple revisions, could we have an
on-screen count of the number of revisions selected? It would be very useful for
counting the commits between two points in time (ie number of commits on trunk
between r1000 and r1100).

It would also be great (but tougher to implement I guess) to have this
information in the revision graph - maybe as an annotation on the lines?
