The cache starts at least 6 threads on its own. More if you have
multiple explorer instances open.

The explorer (i.e. the TSVN shell extension) communicates with the cache
via named pipes. No instance has priority over the other. And for the
cache, it doesn't matter where it sends the response to. Crawling is
done independently of running explorer instances.
