And if you check that path value, you will see that in fact it's not
line separated but semicolon separated. The line separation is just a
nice way to edit those multiple paths.

Yes, *you* wouldn't mind. But people complained about that before a lot.

I really don't like to have both. That's confusing and UI overload.

That's another issue: we'd have two ways to do the same, but they
won't be equal in functionality. That's what will users confuse even
more.
