I'm afraid I don't have the needed expertise re. MSTs.

Also, as TSVN is (in my book) rude enough to not ask me during
installation, I wouldn't be at all surprised if it's rude enough (my
book) to also go ahead and do it anyway in some other context. I
don't trust that option any farther than I can throw it :-). Which is
why I use the firewall to disable phone home for any applications that
aren't polite enough to ask in the first place, not just TSVN.
