I just rebooted my PC to test this.

Explorer starts at D:\Delphi_Projects\Project1\Sub1\Sub2\Sub3\ without any
overlay icons.

After a few seconds modified overlay icons are correctly shown in the left
treeview on two folders:
D:\Delphi_Projects\Project1\ and D:\Delphi_Projects\Project1\Sub1\
No overlay icons in the right pane.

Other projects under version don't have overlay icons in the left pane
D:\Delphi_Projects\Project2\
D:\Delphi_Projects\Project3\

Press F5, the overlay icons appear in the right pane, no changes in the left
pane

Klick on D:\Delphi_Projects\Project1\Sub1\Sub2 (the first folder without
overlays), all overlay icons show up in the left and right panes, also on
the projects which didn't have overlays before.

Reboot again. It's different this time.

Explorer starts in D:\Delphi_Projects\Project1\Sub1\Sub2\Sub3\ with
unmodified overlays on all folders in the left pane and no icons in the
right pane.

As before after a few seconds modified overlay icons are correctly shown in
the left treeview on the same two folders. D:\Delphi_Projects\Project1\ and
D:\Delphi_Projects\Project1\Sub1\
No overlay icons in the right pane.

F5 or a click in the left tree set things straight.

This looks like the information is there, but the display trigger is
missing.

Cheers
- Lübbe
