Thanks for the pointer.

I was aware of that information from the documention, but I though at first
that because I had a separate virtual site handling only the svn traffic, I
had not commited that error (my real <DocumentRoot ...> was elsewhere.

Having seen the faq entry I checked again. It turned out I had forgotten
that I had set specifically for that virtual site the <DocumentRoot ...> to
the top of the svn root, with an index.html linking to all the different svn
repositories.

So _all_ my svn repositories where indeed reachable through two scoops.
giving the 301.

Problem is solved, but mistery remains: why was the only thing that failed
the copy/branch action ? Why not all other accesses ?

anyway, sorry for not reading enough.
