I searched the list archive (subject and body) for 'prop' and 'properties'
and found no hits. Forgive me if this is something you have dealt with.
I am a longtime user of versioning tools, but am a newcomer to TortoiseSVN.
I spent some time tooling around, looking for how to set properties like
'svn:executable'. I was operating under the assumption that tortoisesvn
would put all relevant pop-ups and configuration screens between the
context-menu 'div's or inside of the context-sub-menu.
Naturally, I ended up searching the manual, where the necessary information
was accesible from a link under the index's 'properties' section. But this
was not before I added a rule to the tortoisesvn configruation file (found
from the settings pop-up's configuration file 'edit' button) to set
svn:executable to newly added files of the appropriate name. I svn deleted
the file and svn added it back in again a few times before I figured out
that I had to 'enable-auto-props'.
My own foolish wankering aside, I propose that a 'Properties...' item
should be available on the sub-menu. When selected, this link should pop-up
the file's properties menu with the tortoisesvn tab preselected. A link
like this would make all of the configuration elements associated with
tortoisesvn accesible from their quiet place on the right-click context
menu. Also, it would demonstrate to dullards like me that the svn
properties were accessible from the standard windows properties pop-up.
