RE: Vista

I installed Feb CTP over the weekend too on a 3GHz P4 w/ 1GB RAM using a
GeForce FX5200 and the speed isn't too bad. They have certainly done a lot
since 4051 which was the last one I installed.

I didn't try TSVN on it yet (I actually don't know if I could put myself
through using VS2005 on it either :) ), but I can see why the TSVN icons
wouldn't be usable because the system seems to use 64x64 (or larger) sized
icons but all the overlays (like that little security shield) are still only
like 5x5 or 8x8. And the Control Panel is so screwed up I couldn't find any
options to change those settings. Perhaps there is a reg key that could be
changed.

As for your CPU usage, do you have a DX9 video card in the machine? I think
all that glass will be whats killing the machine if it is doing it in
software.

And as for the explorer thing, I am pretty sure it is broken. You click into
the C drive and the folder view is there, then you click into a subfolder it
disapears so you click "View > Sidebar" (or whatever it is called), then you
click into another folder and it disapears again - but this time the view
menu option is missing :(
