UpdateCheckURL - how does it work?

Hi!

I am responsible for choosing which new TSVN version we use in our department. I am interested in using the registry setting UpdateCheckURL to have TSVN look on one of our network shares for new version. But I am missing some documentation about how it is working. All I could find was the registry name and some info in the FAQ telling me TSVN would be trying to download a text file from that URL. The manual does not containt something about this feature in 1.3.0... I still don't know how to use it.

My questions are: does it work over network shares or do I need a (web)server? What must I place in that directory to make it recognize a new version when I copy the MSI-file there?

Sincerely,
Maik Schmidt

P.S.: Please CC me, I am reading the mailing list over gmane only...
