Sayle,

Please verify your settings in TortoiseMerge. They can be set to ignore
lineendings. By default these are set to ignore. It would only be a bug if
the TMerge qualifies the files as equal without ignoring lineendings.

P.S.: Steve, if you're reading this: is lineendings an actual english word,
or should it be line endings (in which case there is a spelling error in the
.pot
