Autolist documentation (was: RC1 installation overwrites autolist.txt)

What does it do? I had a quick look at it and my best guess is that it's
used for extracting important keywords from a versioned file, so these
keywords can be auto-completed in the commit dialog's text box. Am I
right? Is there any documentation about the format of this file?
