SVN ignore problem

(It's not my day today - another trivial question!)

I have the following folders:

UserFiles\Flash
UserFiles\Images
UserFiles\<blah>

How do I ignore everything IN the Flash and Images folders?

I have set svn:ignore on UserFiles to
"Flash
Images
<blah etc>
"

...but it has no effect which is odd, because I'm sure I'm successfully
using this syntax elsewhere in the same project. Yes, I've committed the
new properties.

What am I doing wrong?
