Ah. WC had me going too until Simon put me straight.
WC is an acronym for working copy, the set of files that are checked out
onto your machine.
WC does not imply that the set of files actually work.
repo=Repository the files administered by Subversion at the server end,
from which you checkout WCs from and Commit changes to.
