Yes, I did read your posting, but this topic has been discussed to death
before, including your combo box suggestion. I was just suggesting another
alternative that I don't remember seeing before, to give the poor,
overworked developers some more options :-)

Assuming you actually read my posting, what was wrong with my suggestion:
* making it a combo box which actually shows the last commit text
* having a label "Recently written:" next to it
?
