Wait. Sure i should. An [Alt] keypress must not be sent to any
application before the key has been released. Otherwise, [Alt] [Tab]
would obviously cause the File menu to be activated in the application
you are leaving, which it seems is not the case.

Therefore, it's safe. As soon as I press + or -, my Sound Control
picks up the key combination and does it magic so it doesn't reach the
app. There *might* be spurious (+/- and) [Alt] DE-presses going to
the app, but who cares.
