Do you have the preference turned on to use the old log message API?
Starting with 1.2, the new API would give you the last 100 revisions for
that project. Even if it spans thousands of repository revisions. It
sounds like you are seeing the old behavior where it would ask for
revisions N-100:N and just get whatever fell in that range.
