Settings->Look and Feel->Fetch status for context menu

Disable that checkbox, and the context menu will be fast again. Problem
is that as it says, the status isn't fetched anymore. So you might get
some entries in the context menu which don't make sense (e.g. 'revert'
even if there's nothing to revert, diff even there are no modifications,
...).
