Well the only other solution is for users to go back to 1.2.4.

We have people here using TSVN who really aren't very comfortable with
version control ideas. If the behaviour suddenly changes like that and
they start getting errors, it means someone else has got to sort it out
for them.

Just looking though, I can't find 1.2.3 or 1.2.4 in the archive on the
download site. All the 1.1.x versions are there but no 1.2.x.
