Please bear with me, one week ago I didn't know anything about Subversion or
Tortoise, so it really wasn't obvious that https: is required. I would never
have come to the idea to search an apache, jakarta or lucene (never
heard of) website for this issue....

How can I change the address to https: with Tortoise without creating a
new checkout?

I never wanted to express it is broken, I just wondered why a
program that has such a comprehensive set of features only has
this "Clear Auth Cache" button for login management. Sorry for
that.
