Honestly, I'd say yes; but, at the same time, I keep asking myself why it's one or the other. Why can't the menus have both icons and shortcuts? For most operations, I'd use the shortcuts; but when I do other tasks, I am typically looking at the icons and clicking the ones I want since I'm used to the icons.

This would work, yes. But as I said: it looks really ugly.

Well, it *could* be done. But enabling the shortcuts would mean to accept the ugly looking icons or have no icons at all.

I know, I know. Now comes the suggestion to add another option for this.
But is this really necessary? Are shortcuts really that important for people?
