This would work, yes. But as I said: it looks really ugly.

Well, it *could* be done. But enabling the shortcuts would mean to
accept the ugly looking icons or have no icons at all.

I know, I know. Now comes the suggestion to add another option for this.
But is this really necessary? Are shortcuts really that important for
people?
