There are other ways to achieve this, but if I want to revert changes
and keep a copy of the modified file, I rename it than update to fetch
the missing file.

Can be achieved by moving the modified file but isn't currently how I do it.

Don't do either very often, just thought I'd give a reason as to why you
might want to rename outside of subversion.
