I have now created new versions of the merge-doc and diff-doc scripts.
They should only close the second window only on word versions later than
2000.
I have not been able to test this, since I only have access to Word 2003.
Could someone confirm that it works as intended?

There is surely more places in the scripts where version checks would be
appropriate. (How old versions support merge and diff at all?)

I have also added a message box to the merge-script to inform the user about
the complications about un-accepted changes as well as an option to get to a
help website (currently Word 2003-help).

Please note that VB is not my native language. All improvements are most
welcome.

...and do I have to mention that the version property was undocumented?
