Hm, I just checked the stats of this server. It was up and running all the
time and had a low load average. Can you be sure that it wasn't a DNS
problem?

Why? Berlios' db server is a lot quicker and, if it was berlios' fault at
all, one outage during a few months compared to permanent low performance
and intermittent server unavailability due to high load on sourceforge makes
me want to keep the db related stuff on berlios.de.
