Thing is (as I said) I know of no OpenSource solution. Using TC will at
least get the testing framework in place so conversion can take place if
one does become available. However, I'm doubtful that will occur for
anything but a Java-centric environment. TC is at least a reasonably
priced product. Most are about 5K per seat.

I am happy to have the tests run along side the nightly builds and have
the results published, am have some experience with TestComplete, but I
do think for this sort of project, an OpenSource solution for the test
platform would be better otherwise only a limited number of people
(myself excluded) would be able to run the tests
Unless of course you could convince AutomatedQA to donate copies for
open source use :)
Cheers
