Perhaps a good first step will be to simply include revision numbers
into a searched text, so simply entering number into a search field
would show that revision (along with any others which include this
number as a substring, of course)?
Then you can add general search features, such as "whole words
search", patterns/regexps, etc. and they would benefit range search as
well.
