Oh no - misunderstand me the correctly! I'm not talking about modifying
the autentication semantics in any way, that would be crazy.

I have thought about that approach too, but since writing your own
password an extra time once every commit is too much for the average
lazy consultant, so is specifying two variables in a more or less formal
way too.

That's why I think a "fast switch" function would be proper. Please
refer to my reply to Stefan in this thread.
