That's what it does. The 'diff' feature of OO always seems to start in
merge mode, i.e. it asks the user for every difference if to "keep,
overwrite, remove, ..." the diff. That's not good just to view the
diffs, so I changed it to start two instances of Writer so the user can
compare the files side-by-side.
But the merge-sxw.vbs really uses the OO diff feature.
