PS. I've NEVER in my life seen an application which requires you to hold
down a key to select multiple lines of *text*. Usually shift and ctrl
are for selecting multiple objects/icons/files. Selecting multiple lines
of text is ALWAYS ALWAYS left click and drag in every single windows
application I can find. So please don't try to imply this behaviour was
intuitive or standard in any way because it obviously isn't :) (Which
you implied by saying "As with almost all controls"). In this sense,
TMerge is neither intuitive or standard :)
